MIR Weighted Vest Review
MIR Weighted vests come in many shapes and sizes. This is why I can’t cover every model for every weight range. What I will do is go over 3 of the main models that MIR offers and which I think show the diversity that this firm offers when it comes to adjustable weighted vests.
Why Is MIR a Good Firm To Buy a Vest From?
1. You can find vests in the 5-140 lbs range. This means that you can find a suitable vest for you whether you’re a beginner, intermediate, or experienced trainee or athlete.
2. MIR Vests are used by pro athletes of the highest caliber.
3. As we’ll see below, MIR offers models that are especially designed for women and for various sporting activities.
MIR also has a great reputation as a firm for serious athletes. They are known for their high quality customer service, so you shouldn’t experience any problems with them. They offer international shipping for various countries, but you will get your vests fastest if you’re in the US or Canada.
Let’s go over the 3 models of MIR weighted vests that I’d like to talk about and you’ll be better able to see which one is the best for you.
MIR Short Vest
The short vest, which you can see a picture of to the right is a great product for people who engage in cross fitness training or want to turn their pure cardio workouts more intense.
The reason why this model is right for this kind of training is that the vest is very short. As you can see, it covers just your chest and upper back.
Unlike other weighted vests, this model gives you more freedom and may be more comfortable for workouts with a lot of movement, like cardio.
This model can go as high as 60 lbs. It doesn’t go all the way to 140 because there is less room to place the weights in than in other vests.
You have 20 pieces of weight that can go in the front and 20 in the back for a total of 30 lbs on each side. This means that the weights increments are 1.5 lbs, which is good.
A good weight is the 50 lbs max vest which is pretty affordable and should be challenging for even fit guys and gals.

Mir For Women
Mir has an adjustable weighted vest for women. You can see a picture of the 20 lbs model to the right.
There are a couple of obvious things about this model and I’m only counting the way that the vest doesn’t cover the woman’s breasts as one thing (you dirty boy).
The other thing is the fact that this model compensates by being longer than the short model with a strap under the rib cage. I still feel that this model is less snug than the short vest and may be less comfortable for certain activities.
In addition, this model only goes up to 30 lbs which may be due to two reasons:
- It was made for women so MIR so no point in giving it more weight.
- The design doesn’t allow a lot of space to place in additional weights.
All in all, this is a model which is right for beginner-intermediate women, and it may prove more comfortable than other models for those with a large bust.
MIR Pro Vest
This model is, as its name implies, meant to be used by pros and fit trainees.
it’s a longer vest than the short model which allows you to place in more weight, but it may be less comfortable for running and other cardio workouts.
This model can be fitted tightly around the torso to give you a solid workout experience. Try to do some pull ups or squats with this vest on you and you will feel the difference it can make.

Bottom Line
MIR has some great models for weighted vests, a good reputation, and good prices. You can find a vest that will work for you whether you’re man or woman, beginner or experienced.
